Brandon and Ali Heselschwerdt Prayer Letter: Updating and Cleaning Up the Church and PropertyDuring the month of September, our family focused on updating and cleaning things up around the church and property. We now have a projector and screen, thanks to the Morris family! Now, our congregation is able to sing along together from the projector screen, and I am able to have the Scripture verses for everyone to see along with their Bibles. We also spent the time having a gate put up for protection and safety. Then we had the property cleaned and the grass cut! Now, we have a spacious area for our church children to play in after church. We also want to thank our church members for helping us tirelessly on all of these projects to update everything at the church!

Over the past few months, we have had some of the church members step up and do more around the church. This has been a blessing to see, for it is proof of the church’s spiritual growth and momentum in the right direction as we aim for the church to become more and more self-productive and self-sufficient! We have also witnessed more people willing to sing specials during the Sunday morning services! One young lady has really been a blessing, as she has been led to sing more since the Teen Conference we attended in August!

Lastly, PPTA went well this month. We had a lower number of men this month (23), as many were out due to sickness or funerals. Even though we were slightly down in number, we were not down in spirit. These men have been growing spiritually every month! My two teachers from this month in PPTA also gave me great feedback from their time with the student pastors. We look forward to how these men will grow in Christ and how God is going to impact their churches and ministries!

Thank you so much for having a part in the Lord’s work here in Kenya, East Africa, and for making it possible for us to be His laborers here!

Your co-laborers for lost souls across East Africa,

Greetings in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are doing well at Bomet. The church is growing spiritually and in number as well. Some of the congregation moved, which reduced our number from above 60 to 55. Among them are two families whose movement was necessitated by work transfer. This encouraged us to do soul winning in the villages near town so as to get indigenous people joining us. Those who move away are our ambassadors outside our county, though we don’t know which hands they fall into. We are trying to follow up on them to find out churches we can refer them to.

We intend to have VBS for the children in December. This will be a very good way of reaching out to their parents as we follow up on them. Recently, we were able to reach a mother of one of the Sunday school children who gave her life to Jesus Christ. That’s why I feel VBS will enable us to reach their parents. The only challenge is the limitation of resources.

I have been visiting them occasionally since I currently operate from home. It is my prayer that God will enable me to get enough money to rent a fair house and to sustain me so that I can manage to reach many.

Again, pray for us that we may get a spacious land for church services, as we currently use a personal house.

Pastor William

Brandon and Ali Heselschwerdt Prayer Letter: Updating and Cleaning Up the Church and PropertyI was thinking that praying and stop sinning could make me go to Heaven, but in church I learned that believing in Christ alone is what I must do to go to Heaven. Now I see that to go to Heaven is by believing in Jesus alone. We cannot save ourselves, nor can our works make us to go to Heaven.

I like praying, going to church, and helping others. But being kind to others cannot save us, not even doing good things. God loves us, and when we do sin, we will be punished by God by going to the Lake of Fire. Therefore, I thought I could stop sinning, but I know now that I can’t stop sinning, so I believe in God only. That is my testimony.

I love God because He has created me. I love God.

This month, I have seen great things that the Lord has done in my ministry because of starting soul winning and because of the teaching from PPTA! We have also witnessed a growth in our church from reaching souls with the Word of God and teaching them.

We thank God that, through faithfully serving Him, we have witnessed one more person come forward to be added to the church this month and have witnessed another individual come to Christ through soul winning.

The church and I have gone out several times for soul winning, and from this, we have seen spiritual and physical growth.

Since joining the PPTA program, I have come to understand the Word of God much clearer and have been applying what I have learned to my life. I’ve been teaching the Biblical truths I’ve learned, and now I have seen much growth in our church members as well.

Pastor Kennedy

This month, I have spent much time out soul winning with the “Stop” tracts we received from PPTA. I have learned that it is an excellent tool for sharing the Gospel with others. From this, we have seen souls turning to Christ.

Blessed be the Lord, for He is faithful in our ministry. We are expanding as a church. More souls have been enlightened through the Word of God from the teaching we have learned from PPTA.

One thing this month that I’ve learned from PPTA and that has helped me is the management of my time. I have really learned how to balance personal devotions and prayer time, as well as soul winning and discipleship.
