We welcomed our sweet baby girl, Margo Honey, on September 3, 2025, at 11:35 a.m. My wife and our baby are doing great with recovery. Our three boys—Lionel, Luca, and Levi—are very excited to have a baby sister. They have been so helpful with the little things we need to keep Mom and Baby comfortable. Margo fits right in with her brothers and is the perfect addition to our family. We love her so much. Thank you for all of the prayers during this pregnancy.
We were originally told we could do blood work after she was born, but we were redirected to a genetic specialist, which usually takes six months to a year for an appointment. Thankfully, they had a last-minute cancellation, and we were able to make it to an earlier appointment. Margo looks absolutely healthy. We were able to do a swab test instead of blood work, and we should be getting the results back sometime in October.
We already have Margo’s passport, and we arrived in El Salvador a few days ago on October 13. My mother-in-law traveled with us to help with our little ones during the trip.
On October 5, our home church, Bailey’s Grove Baptist Church, celebrated our pastor, Jon Shook, for 30 years of serving as pastor. We are thankful for our preacher and his wife for impacting so many lives, including my wife and her family.
A few years ago, Pastor Shook led a group of men on a missions trip to Mexico and was able to visit where my wife’s grandpa lives in Southern Mexico. Her grandpa, Salvador, received Christ as his Saviour during that visit. On October 3 of this year, Salvador passed away in his home. We sure are thankful for Heaven and for what Christ has done for us.
We enjoyed our time in North Carolina with family and friends, but we are thankful to be back home in El Salvador. Thank you for all of the texts and emails. We always enjoy hearing from you. It’s very encouraging to our family.
