Thank you for all of the support and prayers for our family. We have a few updates from our last prayer letter. Our original plan was to fly to North Carolina on July 14, but due to unfortunate circumstances, we had to fly back sooner. My wife’s cousin was leaving Florida with her fiancé after setting their Disney wedding date. As they were traveling back to North Carolina, they were in a major car crash, and her cousin sadly passed away on impact. We changed our flights to July 6 in order to make it to the funeral the following day.
Most of my wife’s family on her father’s side practice Catholicism, but over the years, my wife and her parents have had an impact on bringing the Gospel to them. Even though there was a tragedy, God allowed me to witness to my father-in-law’s side of the family. After the burial, my father-in-law gathered all of the family together so that I could pray with them. The funeral service was in English, but some of the family did not understand what was being said. I was able to give a clear Gospel message, and during the prayer, about 15 or more family members prayed the sinner’s prayer. Thank you all for your prayers and understanding, as we had to return to the States sooner than planned.
We recently had an appointment for our baby girl, and everything is checking out physically, and we are very close to meeting her. We are not quite out of the woods with testing, as they will do blood work once she is born to rule out the genetic issue they believe she may have. We are praying that everything will come back normal and that we will be able to start planning our return to El Salvador. Our goal is to head back by mid-October.
There are also a few upcoming events in El Salvador we would appreciate prayer for. Brother Darrell Ratliff and Brother Caleb Amoros will be flying in to preach in public schools and share the Gospel. We also have a Revival Conference and a Marriage Retreat in September.
Thank you all for your faithful prayers and financial support.
