The last two months have been full of blessings, fellowship, and reminders of God’s goodness as we continue on deputation. We are grateful for your prayers and support that help carry us along the way.
Ministry Updates
We started June with the Power Meeting in Crawfordsville, Indiana, with Bro. Randy Glenn. He has had a great influence on my brothers and me through his preaching at Hyles-Anderson College and his testimony of faithfulness. Spending time with him and his family left us blessed beyond measure.
From there we went to be with a dear college friend and fellow laborer, Tim Moore. The power was out, and the humidity was high, but the Lord gave us a wonderful time with his people. God reminded me again that no matter how much time passes, friendships in Christ remain close when we are serving the same Master.
In Corpus Christi, Texas, we were with New Hope Baptist Church and Pastor Baxter. He became a friend to us right away and cared for every detail of our stay. While there, God allowed us to meet missionaries to the Congo, who encouraged our hearts. Our boys also enjoyed some time at the Gulf, making memories we will not forget.
After that we traveled to West Virginia to be with another college friend, Braden Miller. It was a testimony of God’s grace to see both of us, once young men under twenty, now serving the Lord with families of our own. The church there loved us dearly and especially showed kindness to our children, which always makes our hearts glad.
In New York, we reunited with James and Victoria Fesh. Hilda and Victoria were roommates many times before marriage, and James and I worked together in college. The fellowship was refreshing, and our children bonded quickly with theirs. They had such a good time together that it was hard to part ways.
In between these Sunday meetings, we were privileged to go to the great Dr. Chris Tefft’s church in Massachusetts. It was a short meeting on Wednesday, but he took care of us more than we deserved. The church got us whale-watching tickets, and if you know anything about our son Dale, he loves sea creatures more than anything in the world. It was a memory we will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you!
From there we went to Connecticut to be with Lighthouse Baptist Church, where our friend Danny Kaighen has pastored for five years. His spirit and testimony were a blessing, and his family went out of their way to encourage us. We shared meals, fellowship, and truly renewed our friendship.
Finally, in Willis, Michigan, we experienced something new. The church there has a tradition of celebrating “Christmas in July,” with the focus on blessing a missionary family. We were surprised by how much time, effort, and resources they poured into it. Our children loved every moment. We thank God for the privilege of being chosen to be part of that special service.
Fruit and Progress
Since our last letter, we have seen seven souls saved. Praise the Lord! Five more churches have also taken us on for support, which brings us to the halfway
point of deputation. We are rejoicing in how God is providing and leading us forward.
Prayer Requests
• Pray for Hilda and the baby; she is only three weeks away from delivery. Pray for a safe and healthy arrival.
• Pray for continued opportunities to give the Gospel as we travel.
• Pray for open doors and meetings as we work to finish deputation.
• Pray for our future ministry in Panama; pray that God would already be preparing hearts to receive the Gospel.
We cannot say thank you enough for your faithful prayers, financial support, and encouragement. It is a privilege to partner with so many who share the burden of reaching the world with the Gospel.
For His glory,
Dustin, Hilda, and the Boys
