Juan and Amy Vallejo Prayer Letter: Giving Thanks for Being Able to Fulfill Our CallingWe want to give thanks for all of you and for the blessings our God has given. We continue forward through struggles and difficulties, but also with the joy of seeing our God working for us. We see how God is working in our lives. We give thanks to be able to fulfill our calling, although sometimes it seems difficult to think about the future of what God will do. Little by little, the Lord is molding me.

My wife and children are in good health, and through that, we can better serve our God, since our concentration on God’s work is better than all else! Thank God, we were able to evangelize more than 150 people in the last 2 months while on soul-winning visitation and doing day-to-day visits. Please pray for the souls who still do not know Jesus Christ as their Saviour!

While out winning souls, we arrived at a store where Raúl worked selling used goods. He was able to hear the Gospel and was so happy knowing that he now had eternal life!

Arriving at the bakery, my daughter Esther and I had the privilege of evangelizing the bakery workers in front of the Catholic church!

While knocking on doors, I had the opportunity to meet a young man who was familiar with a Brazilian cult, yet he had some understanding of salvation. However, when I explained the correct path to him from a Biblical perspective, he was surprised because he hadn’t seen it in that light.

We also arrived at another house where three young people were playing ping-pong. We told them that we also had a ping-pong table at the church. With that conversation started, we were able to explain the Gospel to them, and the three young people asked our Saviour for salvation. It’s a joy to spread the Word to the people while we still have the opportunity!

Also this month, my wife Amy, while sending out messages about our return to Brazil after our furlough, encouraged Sister Lourdes and her daughter Sandra to return to church. They have been with us since our kids were very young. They remember David, at the age of three, singing up front during Sunday school and serving our God!

We went to evangelize in a new neighborhood and met Alice’s family. We had the opportunity to evangelize her, her mother Graça, and four of their children. They are a very needy family with many health problems, but God has been good because in June, they accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour. I told her there was a promise in the Bible in Acts 16:31 that says, “. . . Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Then we evangelized some of her relatives: her two sisters and an uncle, as well as a family friend of theirs. Alice and her family are now coming to church regularly on the bus route. Please pray for them, as we have Bible study with them every Monday.

May God bless you as you serve the Lord faithfully in prayer and giving.

In His service,

The Vallejo Family
