Micah and Abbie Christiansen Prayer Letter: Ready to Be SavedBy the time you read this letter, you will be into the Christmas season. I always find the Christmas season to be an enjoyable time of year, and I pray that this season will be a good one for you.

Those of you who have been involved in Christmas plays for your churches or schools know that preparations start far ahead of Christmas, so we have been busy with music and acting rehearsals. I wrote this year’s Christmas play, and it will be performed both at our school and at our church. This play has a strong Gospel message, and I am asking you to pray that God will use this play so that people at both performances will decide to put their faith in Jesus alone for salvation.

Fruit to Your Account

I was out soul winning, and it seemed I could not finish a Gospel presentation. I had started with one young man, but it turned out he was the designated driver for a group of men at a bar. When they came out, he had to go. I started giving the Gospel to someone else, but then he said he had to go. I also started with a teenage boy, but then an older lady walked up and said, “Leave him. I am sick. I need him to cook for me.” (This is unusual behavior in Ghana.)

Then I saw a man sitting by himself. I walked up to him and gave him a tract. When I found out his name was Osman, I almost kept going. Osman is a Muslim name, and I really wanted to have a chance to successfully lead someone to Christ. Talking to a Muslim usually takes more time, and Muslims usually do not quickly decide to trust in Jesus. However, I told myself: No, he deserves to hear the Gospel. Give him a chance. As I kept talking to Osman, I found out that he was not a Muslim. He was very open to the Gospel, and he decided to put his faith in Jesus instead of in his good works! Please pray as I try to follow up with Osman for discipleship.

I saw Daniel sitting out by the roadside looking at his phone. I gave him a tract and started to talk to him. Giving the Gospel to Daniel was a very enjoyable experience. After Daniel read Titus 3:5, he said, “So, when I told you that we have to be righteous to go to Heaven, that was wrong. What do I need to do to go to Heaven?” Daniel readily trusted in Jesus as the payment for his sins. Daniel was visiting his sister. He lives about an hour away, but God arranged for us to meet that day! I am trying to keep up with him on WhatsApp, so please pray for his growth.

I had tried for some time to get a group of teenage boys to understand the Gospel. I had talked to them two to four times, depending on the individual. Their English seemed good enough, but no matter how hard I tried, they did not understand. I decided to bring someone to talk to them in Twi. It was such a blessing to see Eric, a teenager who learned soul winning as a child and while being a part of our Bible Club team, give these boys the Gospel and to hear them answer all my questions correctly afterwards! Someone I helped train was able to reach those whom I could not reach! Amen!

Yours for souls,

Micah Christiansen
