I grew up in a pastor’s home and was saved at the age of 8! When I was 14, my family and I moved to Nicaragua as missionaries. We served there for 5 years. Through this time, the Lord called me to preach and gave me a love for ministry and missions. When I was 19, we moved back to the States, and soon after I enrolled in Hyles-Anderson College. While in college, I met my wife! We married the summer after graduation (2021) and began serving at her home church under her father, Pastor David Hemphill. We served there for three years (2021-2024) as youth pastor and assistant.

Tiffany was saved at the age of 5. When she was 8, her family moved to Oswego, Illinois and her father began pastoring the Valley Baptist Church. At the age of 13, she surrendered her life to the Lord. After high school, she attended Hyles-Anderson College where she completed her degree in Secondary Education.

Our desire and plan is to partner with nationals to plant churches in Nicaragua. Initially, we will focus primarily on the southeastern region of Nicaragua in the departments of Chontales and the RACCS. These departments are places of great spiritual need with many communities ranging in size from a few hundred to many thousands that need Gospel-preaching churches. I had the wonderful privilege of living in Nicaragua as a missionary kid for five years and have seen the need of this region firsthand. By God’s grace and for His glory, we hope to saturate this part of the country with local, New Testament churches and capture it for Christ! As God allows, we hope to expand to other regions of Nicaragua and surrounding Central American countries as well in the future. In addition to church planting, we plan to start a Bible Institute in this region of Nicaragua with the purpose of training young men and women, from these same communities, for the Gospel ministry.

  • Jared and Tiffany Stalnaker Prayer Letter: Exciting NewsWe’re thrilled to share some exciting news! In our last update, we announced that Tiffany was expecting, and shortly afterward, we found out, to our surprise, that she’s expecting twins! Once the shock wore off, our excitement began to grow, and we’re now eagerly anticipating the arrival of our two boys. We would greatly appreciate your continued prayers for Tiffany’s health and strength as we finish out our travel schedule. We’re thankful she has felt well enough to continue to travel these last few months. Please also pray for our twin sonsthat the remainder of the pregnancy and their delivery will be healthy and without complication. We praise the Lord for this special blessing!

Busy Months on the Road | a full schedule

The past two months have certainly been a whirlwind! Our travels took us to 13 different meetings across 10 states, including a quick trip to North Carolina for my older sister’s wedding. Along the way, we had the privilege of being part of seven Missions Conferences.
We’re so thankful for the Lord’s protection on the road and for blessing us with such a full schedule. During September and October, we spent 30 of the 61 days in church services, whether at a Missions Conference or a one-day meeting. It’s been a real blessing to meet so many kind and encouraging pastors and churches.

    A Special Reunion | a familiar face

While in California for a Missions Conference at North Valley Baptist Church, we had the wonderful opportunity to reconnect with Victoria, a young lady Tiffany led to the Lord last year during a meeting at another church in California. She’s now a freshman at Golden State Baptist College, and it was such an encouragement to see her growing in her faith and eager to serve the Lord.

Thankful for Dirty Diapers | a soul-winning opportunity

No one usually thanks the Lord for dirty diapers, but I sure did that day! On one of the few times we were home recently, our family went shopping for the kids. While Tiffany was browsing, Darcy needed a diaper change, so I took her out to the van.

As I finished up, I noticed a man sitting in the car next to ours and handed him a Gospel tract. That simple act opened the door for a Gospel conversation, and before long, Alvin bowed his head and trusted Christ as his Saviour. Praise the Lord for how He can use even a dirty diaper for His glory!

We have just a few more meetings before wrapping up deputation for the year. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support—your partnership means so much to our family as we continue preparing for the field.

    Till next time,

    The Stalnaker Family
