Israel and Tonya Alvarez Prayer Letter: Blessings and EncouragementsThese past months, the Lord has been good to us in giving us many blessings and encouragements. We have seen about 20 first-time visitors come to our regular services on Sunday evenings. We have seen about 40 people saved during these months. Recently, I had the privilege to preach in Mexico for a Missions Conference—it never gets old sharing about God’s work in Belize.

A group from New Jersey will be coming to Belize in July for a missions trip. Our plan is to do some village outreach services on some of the evenings they are here. Join us in praying that we can reach many souls with the Gospel. These are villages that are a bit farther away and don’t have van routes to them. One of the villages, San Estevan, is where I would like to start our third church.

Our yearly Revival Fires Conference is coming up July 22-24. This is always a huge undertaking for our church. Pastors from Mexico and the United States will be helping us with the annual classes for kids, teens, adults, pastors, laymen, and ladies. I know many of you faithfully pray for this conference every year. Thank you for co-laboring with us in that way.

We have finally reached the time to begin construction on our educational building. We had plans to begin much earlier, but many roadblocks presented themselves along the way. For all those who donated last year for this project, thank you for being patient with us. I will, of course, begin sending progress pictures right away. Please continue to pray. This building will be a huge educational resource center for many kids and teens.

We want to thank the individuals and churches that are helping to sponsor teens to go to high school this coming year. We were able to help five students either begin their first year or continue their studies. Your generosity is making a difference. Thank you and please continue to pray.

Finally, our family is doing well, but we have had a few sicknesses recently. Please pray for our youngest daughter Isabella, who has been diagnosed with the bacterial infection H. pylori. This infection is tough and often has lengthy treatment with several antibiotics. Pray that her little system would be able to handle the treatment and rid her body of the bacteria.
