We thank you so much for your prayers, cards, pictures, and/or love gifts during the Christmas season. God has given us wonderful friends and family. We cherish our family and friends, and we thank the Lord for you and appreciate each one of you.
JESUS SAVES
While we were helping Pastor Ken Webb and his church with their buses in Middleburg, Florida, I went with him on his Jacksonville bus route. Two adults trusted Jesus as their Saviour; one was a bus parent. We came upon a mobile home with six girls there having a slumber party. When I shared the good news of the Gospel with them, all six of them bowed their heads and asked Jesus to save them and take them to Heaven when they die. Pastor Webb and I went away with rejoicing for what God had done! The next day, Sunday, January 7, all six girls came on the church bus. I taught their Sunday school class on “Assurance of Salvation,” and two more teens trusted Jesus as their Saviour. After the morning message, all six of the girls made a public profession, as well as the two who accepted Jesus in Sunday school. God loves the bus kids! He said, “And of some have compassion, making a difference.” (Jude 22)
Bus Mechanics’ Prayers:
Church bus mechanics are praying on KBR Prayer Portal conference calls at 8:00 a.m. EST every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. We have prayer requests and a short testimony or lesson. Then each one prays. If they can’t pray that day, they mute their phone and just listen in. They pray for their pastors, bus kids, buses, bus captains, bus workers, churches, those who are ill, etc. I close in prayer and give a bus-mechanic tip and answer questions, if there is time. On Saturday, January 13, we had a record day of 19 on the call. Bro. Jerry Ossewaarde, the head mechanic at Hyles-Anderson College, gave the devotion on “Faithfulness.” He is such a good example of that. God is blessing, and the mechanics are realizing that they are not alone. Other bus mechanics are praying for them, and they are encouraging one another. If you work on church buses and would like to join us on any of the days, you can call me at 219-689-0011, and I will send you the information on how to join us.
Buses Back on the Road
Recently, with God’s help, we have been able to put 5 buses back on the road that have been out of commission for more than 6 months. “Jesus and I fix buses!”
Prayer Requests
(1) Pray for churches to start or increase their Bus Ministries.(2) Pray for missionaries, Marco & Lauretta Hannel. They are raising support to help the churches with their buses and their Bus Ministries. We have seven more bus mechanics who want to help churches, and they are getting prepared. (3) Pray for our son, Dave Highfill, who is deployed to South Korea until sometime in the spring of 2024. (4) Pray for our health and safety as we minister to the churches.
We are very grateful for your prayers and support. Thank you for your care for the bus kids and their families.
Yours for souls,
Warren & Jary Lynn Storm
