After six months of a very strict lockdown, things are finally beginning to open up here in Honduras. We are now allowed to hold in-person services, but we are only permitted to fill 20% of the capacity of our building. We are not yet allowed to run our bus; nevertheless, we have had a pretty good walk-in and drive-in crowd. People have gotten saved in the services, and our people are excited to have church again finally!
This fall two of our young people started attending seminary to prepare for the ministry. My son Juan is attending Hyles- Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana. God has provided a job and a reliable vehicle. Also, a young man named Minor, who has attended our church since he was five, is now preparing himself to serve God with his life. From Monday through Friday, he attends a seminary, which is run by a fellow missionary about 45 minutes away from our church. On the weekends, he comes home and serves in our children’s ministry.
We have started partnering with Bro. John Hays and his water-purifying system (www.hayspurewater.com). A significant amount of people in Honduras do not have access to clean water, which makes this a much-needed ministry. This week we started giving the systems to pastors and some people in the community. We are excited about how God is going to use this ministry for His glory.
