Greetings from Lima, Peru! It’s good to be back home with the people God has called us to serve. We came back home from our visit to the States on the 30th of December and were able to jump right in with our Watch Night Service in San Gabriel to bring in the New Year. It was such a blessing to come home and hear of all that God did with our church while we were in the States. Our church people had an evangelistic outreach to a nearby school called Limatambo. There, more than 700 students, plus many parents and the staff, heard the Gospel and received a gift from our church. Hot chocolate and a treat were served as well. Then the church also performed their first cantata to celebrate Christmas while we were gone. Several people trusted Christ on that day as well. We were so pleased to see the church still full and new faces in the crowd. Thank you to those who prayed for our church while we were gone from it.
The week after we arrived home, we traveled to a remote area in Northern Peru to conduct a Pastors’ Camp. We had the blessing of getting to know around 70 pastors and some of their families. Bro. John Hays also came with us to teach the pastors how to keep their drinking and cooking water clean. He was able to give a water-purification system to each pastor and was also able to help the local cities with their water- treatment systems. The pastors learned about soul winning, church organization, and discipleship. A soul-winning day was organized, and 75 persons accepted Christ as their Saviour. More were saved in an evangelistic service held in the town square. Please pray for the pastors of Piura and Paimas as they continue serving the Lord and for us to be an encouragement and blessing to them.
Our church’s 7th anniversary will be celebrated on Saturday, January 25. Please be in prayer for this event. Our church people have been working and praying hard that many will visit our church and many will trust Christ!
We will be taking our young people to camp February 2-6. We have 8 churches joining us this year! Bro. Mark Rader of our team is organizing the activity, and Bro. and Mrs. Ricky Torres will be conducting the camp. Please pray with us for our teens that God will do a mighty work in their hearts. Also, please pray for our counselors, as they will be taking classes throughout the week to work towards their institute credits.
We are excited to be able to help host the Fuegos de Evangelismo conference here in Lima this year. A sister ministry, EFATA, will be hosting the conference in their church, and we will be coordinating. At the same time, we will have our Youth Conference. We are praying that God will stir the hearts of the young people to serve Him.
Thank you to each person who prays for our ministry. We often think of you, and we pray for you as well. We know that only by the grace of God could we advance the work here, so we covet your prayers. May God richly bless you.
His for souls,
