In our last letter, we mentioned that Gospel Baptist Church of Bacolod City would be celebrating 20 years since I founded it in August 2002. We were making plans to attend their anniversary services and visit some other churches planted out of this ministry. Sadly, we are going to have to postpone that trip. In April, my son Chad was diagnosed with throat cancer. Right now, we are having to fill in to help him with his businesses until he completes some treatment in hopes of winning his battle with cancer. Please pray that God will heal him and allow him to get his voice back.
It has been 10 years since I turned the church over to pastor Felix Penaflorida. He has done a wonderful job winning souls and expanding the church, college, and Christian school since we left him. Please pray that God will continue to bless the church and our vision to start more churches and train more workers to reach the lost in Asia. We are currently trying to raise $2,000 for the completion of one of our mission church buildings.
I am excited to be able to do some Zoom trainings for Teaching All Nations. Since Dr. Ed Tutton’s passing in January 2021, Greg and Adam Ogle have expanded his vision and are currently in the Philippines contacting and training pastors with the TAN program. Upon their return, we will be continuing to train pastors and workers to teach their own people and students via scheduled Zoom meetings. Please pray as we develop this in the Philippines and other countries, which they will be visiting.
We have recently received a request for some help from one of our national pastors in Myanmar who is needing support for men who have completed their college training and are pioneering new works. They can be fully supported for just $200 a month. Please pray about having a part in planting churches in old Burma.
Please pray that I can get some relief from my neuropathy, which has my feet and lower legs in constant pain and gives me difficulty walking. As I write this letter, I am approaching my 75th birthday later this week, and I thank God that I am in as good of health as I am. Please pray that God will continue to give me strength to serve Him.
Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support.
