It has been wonderful being back on the road after our “COVID Break.” On June 11, we started driving from Maine to Southern Louisiana for a few weeks of meetings in the region. Admittedly, we were a little apprehensive about traveling with a then one-month-old. However, God has blessed us, in that, Emma has taken wonderfully to deputation and traveling, sometimes, I think, even a little better than her parents. 😊
In the last week of June, we had an unexpected blessing. The Lord worked it out for us to meet up with the Mark Holmes family, whom we will be working with once we arrive in Nigeria. We were able to spend a few days together, seeing each other’s families, talking about the current state of affairs in Nigeria, and discussing future plans for the ministry there.
Please pray for us, as we will be traveling extensively in July. Also, pray that we will see people saved as we travel. Recently it seems that most of the people we witness to are simply not open to receiving the gift of eternal life. A couple of weeks ago, I was witnessing to a young man named Amari. After listening intently to the whole Gospel message, I invited him to stop trusting in his works and turn to Christ alone for salvation. He shocked me by saying, “No, I’ll just keep taking each day as it comes. That’s what I’ve been doing my whole life.” My heart hurts for him, and I pray, as the church near him follows up with him, that he will open up to Christ and the Gospel.
That all the world may know,
