Luis and Carolina Martinez Prayer Letter: 40th Church Anniversary

Luis and Carolina Martinez Prayer Letter: 40th Church AnniversaryHebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” I pray that when you receive this letter you are doing well, along with your family and loved ones. My family and I are doing well and would like to thank you so much for being a part of this ministry.

During the month of March, we celebrated Missions-Emphasis Month. Bro. Bill Striegel from Michigan was our special guest preacher. He did an amazing job teaching us and challenging us to do more for world evangelism. It is such a blessing to see our people responding already.

As I prepare to write this letter, I am thankful to be a part of the First Baptist Church of Ceiba, Puerto Rico. During the month of April, we will be celebrating our 40th Anniversary. I have been blessed to be a part of this ministry for 26 years.

Recently, my son Luis and I were out soul winning when we knocked on a door; a lady by the name of Rochelle answered the door. I asked her if she attended church, to which she answered, “On occasion.” After a short conversation, I asked her if she knew if she died today, she would go to Heaven, and she answered that she was not sure. Rochelle allowed me to share the Gospel with her, and she put her trust in Jesus Christ.

Our church in Humacao is doing very well. We continue to hold services on Sundays and Thursdays. We are praying for God to send a missionary or a pastor who can take over this ministry.

PRAYER REQUESTS

• Please pray for our church growth and its ministries.
• Please pray for more laborers.
• Please pray for four students graduating this year from our school. Please pray for God to direct them.
• Please continue to pray for our daughter’s health. Last month, we took her to Missouri to get some tests done for her condition. She is slowly improving.

May God continue to bless you as you serve Him faithfully. Thank you very much for your love, prayers, and faithful support. WE ARE BLESSED BECAUSE OF YOU! God bless you!

In Christ,

Luis M. Martinez
