  • Rey and Tess Garcia Prayer Letter: Back on the FieldIt was indeed God’s blessing that Tess’ test results in the U.S. were not alarming. Thank you for your prayers. As I wrote in our previous prayer letter, she was diagnosed with severe multi-vessel coronary artery disease by a local cardiologist in the Philippines. An angiogram was recommended, and that made us decide to fly to the U.S. on August 23, 2025.

Just after a night’s rest, I took her to the Community Hospital Emergency Room in Munster, Indiana, to have an initial diagnostic test. The attending physician found some irregularities in the test results and advised my wife to see her primary care physician and cardiologist for further evaluation of her medical issue. Sure enough, the cardiologist scheduled her for a stress test, followed by an angiogram upon confirming the irregularities noted during the previous tests. But by God’s grace, the doctor informed us that the result of the angiogram was not alarming. He said that there is a 30% blockage in one minor artery, which could be taken care of with proper diet and oral medication. Praise God for His mercy and grace.

As we returned to the Philippines, we settled ourselves in Binan City, which is an hour’s drive south of Manila. We are planning to visit some local, independent, Bible-preaching Baptist churches around the area and find which church needs our help the most.
Again, weather is the main hindrance at this time of the year here in the country. Torrential rain and typhoons usually occur during this month. This means street flooding can happen at any time after some rain, restricting everyone from travels.

Meanwhile, we affiliated ourselves with the Christian Bible Baptist Church in San Pedro City as our base church. After presenting our ministry to Pastor Ed Laurena, Senior Pastor of CBBC, he willingly and gladly accommodated us, knowing that we are from the First Baptist Church of Hammond, and he also met Pastor John Wilkerson when he preached there recently.

Pastor Laurena assigned us an area within the nearby city where we could do soul winning together with some of the CBBC church members. We are also engaged in area Bible studies, children’s outreach, and inviting visitors to the church services. For the month of October, we led 47 souls to the Lord and had 5 first-time visitors. All glory belongs to God.

    Please pray with us for:

    • God’s mercy and grace to grant us good health.
    • The power of the Holy Spirit as we seek for another church to help.
    • Many more souls to be saved.
    • Open doors in public offices and schools for Bible studies.
    • Spiritual growth and faithfulness of new converts at CBBC in San Pedro City.
    • God’s wisdom and guidance in every decision concerning the ministry.

Thank you for your prayers and faithful partnership.

    For His glory,

    Rey and Tess Garcia
