FBMI Ghana Trip Recap
September 16 - September 20
| FreeThe hand of God is clearly evident in everything that Team Ghana is doing. The first day of the trip, we were able to visit the different properties and meet some of the missionaries and staff who live and work on the property. We were able to see the orphanage building project and meet the children. Meeting these people and seeing how they live was humbling. We have been so blessed to live in such an amazing country where we have been blessed with such wealth. Seeing the children and people living in such poverty who were so happy was a humble reminder to be grateful for all of the luxuries we take for granted. The joy of Christ was brightly shining in their eyes, and they were so grateful for any small gesture of kindness.
On Saturday, we had the opportunity to go out soul winning with the Ghanaians from the church. We were able to see 55 souls accept Jesus as their only way to Heaven. It was incredible to hear people call on the name of Jesus in their own language, trusting in Jesus alone to take them to Heaven.
Afterwards, we went back to the compound and received training from Dr. Waller, a medical doctor who travels the world helping people learn about the greatest gift ever given through medical and vision clinics. We received 3½ hours of training for the vision clinics. It was during this training time that we got to know some of the teachers and college students who live and work on the compound. Over the next 3 days, we would hold a vision clinic at the mother church and one of the daughter churches in Kumasi. We were able to see 656 people and 487 people respectively accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.
We have included a link to a video that talks more about the vision clinics and attending future missions trips hosted by FBMI.
