About James Belisle

Missionary Evangelist James Belisle was born into a religious family and raised in Hudson Falls, New York. At the age of 19, he first heard the gospel from his older brother, Gerard. In September of 1974, Brother Belisle got saved and shortly after that was baptized and joined an Independent Baptist Church in Hudson Falls. He felt God wanted him to be a preacher so he enrolled in Hyles-Anderson College, a Baptist Bible College, in January of 1976. While at the college he met and married one of the school nurses, Miss Linda Shogren. Brother Belisle graduated in 1980 with a Bachelors degree and in 1981 with a Masters degree. Between 1982 and 1996, Brother Belisle was a pastor of two churches and a School Administrator at another church. He started James Belisle Missionary Evangelism in April of 1997 for the purpose of helping Missionaries and National pastors in their countries. Since that time he has been involved in starting churches, holding revivals and evangelistic meetings and teaching in Bible Colleges. Brother Belisle has taken over 45 trips to eighteen different countries, preaching hundreds of meetings, seeing 10 churches started and close to 9,000 souls saved. Since 2005 Brother Belisle has represented Fundamental Baptist Missions International while traveling here in the United States. Since 2013, he has been the Field Service Coordinator for the Western Hemisphere.
