  • Osmin and Eva Gutierrez Prayer Letter: Our Labor Is Not in Vain in the LordI pray this letter finds you well. Our labor is not in vain. A few years ago, we visited for several weeks in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Tegucigalpa, where we didn’t see much fruit. However, a month ago, a family came to visit our services from that same neighborhood. I asked them how they found out about our church. The wife said she was going through some papers and found a Gospel tract we had left at their house about three years ago. They used to attend another church about an hour and a half from us but decided that they needed something closer. They are a faithful family. One Sunday, they had nine members of their family attend our church. Praise God! Our labor was not in vain!

We finally got our school license. The secretary of education authorized us to have a school from kindergarten through ninth grade. We are excited! The school has made a difference in the children who attend right now and will have a Godly influence on future students as well. Please pray that God sends the right students and teachers to help with this ministry. Also, if you are a teacher looking for a place to serve, please contact me. We can use your help.

Earlier this month, we were able to visit my in-laws in Puerto Rico. Though it was a quick, one-week trip, we enjoyed spending time with my wife’s parents. Since my father-in-law is 92 years old, we wanted to spend as much time as possible with him.

Last month, I had the joy of preaching in a church in Campamento (70 miles from us) for their 15th anniversary. Many years ago, this church was left without a pastor. I enjoyed pastoring them for a few years before handing over the work to another missionary, who is doing a great job.

Thank you for your prayer and financial support. May God bless you and continue to use you.

    Truly,

    Osmin Gutierrez
